Job summary

QSAC, a New York nonprofit supporting children and adults with autism, seeks a Behavior Intervention Specialist for its Day Habilitation program. The role involves conducting assessments, developing behavior support plans, and training DSPs to implement ABA-driven strategies.

The position emphasizes collaboration with QIDPs, OPS workers, and interdisciplinary teams to meet Life Plan objectives while maintaining compliant documentation and ongoing progress updates.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a human services field is required.
• 1–2 years’ ABA experience preferred.
• General knowledge of behavior analysis principles and goal development preferred.
• Experience supporting people with autism required.
• Clean valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate active treatment services per OPWDD regulations.
• Develop/monitor monthly goals to achieve Life Plan outcomes.
• Design and revise individual goals; monitor implementation by DSPs.
• Maintain clinical paperwork per NY State regulations (OPWDD).
• Provide written goal summaries and participate in interdisciplinary meetings.
• Review data and provide monthly progress updates; track due dates.
