Job summary

QSAC is seeking committed Behavior Intervention Specialists to support Direct Support Professionals in the Residential Program. Roles require travel to Manhattan, Bronx, Queens, and Long Island locations, delivering functional behavior analysis and behavior support plans.

You will develop and monitor individual goals, write clinical presentations, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams while ensuring OPWDD compliance. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a human services field is required.
• 1–2 years of ABA experience is preferred.
• Clean and valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to travel to multiple NYC locations is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional behavior analysis.
• Prepare behavior support plans to address challenging behaviors.
• Assess psychosexual behaviors yearly or as needed using reliable instruments.
• Communicate with Residential staff regarding behavioral issues.
• Supervise the implementation of behavioral support plans and assist as needed.
• Generate weekly observational reports and monthly progress reports for each individual.
• Write clinical presentations for Human Rights Committee, Life Plan reviews, and IDT meetings.
• Attend and participate in meetings and committees (BIS, HRC, IDT, residential staff).
• Maintain coordination of active treatment services in accordance with OPWDD regulations.
• Write/design all individual goals and observe goal implementation by DSPs.
• Monitor monthly goal progress and update short-term objectives.
• Maintain clinical paperwork as regulated by NY OPWDD regulations.
• Provide written goal summaries for interdisciplinary meetings.
