Job summary

Quality Services for the Autism Community (QSAC), Inc. is seeking a Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) for our Day Habilitation program in Queens Village, Jamaica, Astoria, and Manhattan locations. A Master’s degree is required, and 1–2 years of ABA experience is highly preferred.

The role involves conducting assessments, developing behavior support plans, training DSPs, and ensuring compliance with OPWDD regulations. Salary ranges from $52,000 to $60,000 annually with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in human services or related field is required.
  • 1–2 years' experience and training in ABA supports for autism preferred.
  • General knowledge of behavioral analysis theories and goal development helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate active treatment services per OPWDD regulations.
  • Develop/monitor monthly goals and objectives for Life Plans.
  • Write and revise individual goals; observe implementation by DSPs.
  • Maintain clinical paperwork per NYS OPWDD regulations.
  • Provide written goal summaries and participate in interdisciplinary meetings.
  • Track document due dates and assist with intake decisions.
