Job summary

QSAC is hiring for a Behavior Intervention Specialist in our Day Habilitation program. Openings in Queens Village, Bellerose, Hewlett, Melville and the Bronx. The role involves developing behavior support plans, assessing progress and training DSPs and QIDPs in Day Habilitation settings.

Salary ranges from $52,000 to $60,000 per year. A Master’s degree in a human services field is required, with 1–2 years ABA experience preferred. A valid driver’s license is also required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in human services fields is required.
• 1-2 years’ experience and training in ABA supports for people with autism is highly preferred.
• Driver’s license is required.
• Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights and items (up to 20 lb).
• Ability to run when needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain coordination of active treatment services in QSAC Day Habilitation programs under OPWDD regulations.
• Develop/monitor/assess monthly goals aligned with Life Plans.
• Write/design and revise individual goals; observe goal implementation by DSPs.
• Maintain clinical paperwork per NY State OPWDD regulations.
• Provide written goal summaries and participate in interdisciplinary meetings.
• Review data and provide monthly progress updates.
• Assist with intake process including meetings and trial visits.
