Job summary

Anova Education seeks a Behavior Specialist to collaborate with the school team to develop and implement behavior intervention plans for elementary students. You will collect data, analyze progress, and support staff and families in applying strategies.

The role requires ABA knowledge, crisis intervention training, and strong organization and communication skills, including data entry and reporting using Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education or related area.
• Experience working with elementary age children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and/or social/emotional/ behavioral disabilities.
• Formal training in Applied Behavior Analysis and intervention strategies, including social skills curriculum.
• Current training/certification in Crisis Prevention and Intervention Strategies.
• Good organization and communication skills; knowledge of Excel for data entry and graphing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and write behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and programs with team input.
• Collect, record and analyze data across multiple data points; assist psychologists and BCBA with FBAs.
• Model strategies for staff and parents to implement BIPs and social skills activities.
• Provide feedback on interventions and discuss changes to BIPs based on data and discussion.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed, including verbal processing and, if needed, safe physical interventions.
