Job summary

Usd458 is seeking a Behavior Facilitator to support learning for students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs within the Basehor-Linwood Cooperative. The role requires a Master’s or higher in a relevant field and an active Kansas license, with experience in mental health and behavioral supports.

The position entails collaboration with school teams, coaching staff on behavior management, delivering SEL-focused PD, and developing BIPs/IEP goals.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field is required or preferred.
• Valid Kansas license from KSDE or KS Regulatory Board.
• Experience with youth with mental health and behavioral concerns.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates student learning for academic and social skill success.
• Collaborates with administrative and teaching teams to implement strategies.
• Coaches staff on behavior management to ensure a safe learning environment.
• Delivers professional development on SEL, behavior interventions, and trauma-informed practices.
• Supports general education teachers with curriculum implementation and student plans.
• Collects and organizes data for program evaluation.
• Assists in conducting FBAs and developing BIPs.
• Implements BIPs to address individual student needs.
• Contributes to developing IEP goals related to behavior and social skills.
• Provides crisis intervention when needed.
• Assists parents in accessing school and community resources.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
