Job summary

Three Lakes Educational Cooperative in Kansas is seeking a Paraprofessional Level II to assist a teacher in providing specialized instruction to students with functional or behavioral challenges.

You will reinforce instruction, administer one-to-one behavior interventions, collect progress notes, monitor student behavior, and collaborate with staff, families, and administration to support independent living skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to implement de-escalation techniques when behavior challenges arise.
• Ability to implement behavior management and intensive intervention techniques.
• Ability to monitor and observe student behavior per procedures.
• Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with students.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all records and discussions.
• Capability to learn and use online learning programs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing instruction to behaviorally challenged students as directed.
• Administer one-to-one intensive behavior interventions.
• Participate in behavior intervention meetings and professional development.
• Collect data and maintain progress notes and behavioral charts.
• Monitor and report student behavior per approved procedures.
• Communicate with teachers about programs and materials to meet needs.
• Support instruction in independent living skills (cooking, laundry, hygiene).
• Assist with accommodations and modifications to engage students.
• Support students with moderate to significant physical needs as needed.
