Job summary

The Dallastown Area School District seeks a Full-Time, 10-Month Behavior Intervention Specialist Paraprofessional for York Township Elementary School. The role supports a special education teacher in delivering IEP-based services and materials to students, enabling access to the classroom environment.

Responsibilities include following IEP instructions, assisting in lesson development, and handling basic clerical duties and media/equipment use.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or higher education equivalency with required assessment.
• Two years of postsecondary study (48+ credits) or an associate degree or higher.
• Ability to follow IEP instructions and support student learning.

Responsibilities

• Support a special education teacher in delivering supports and services to students with IEPs.
• Carry out oral and written instructions per IEP to ensure access to education.
• Assist teachers with learning materials and instructional exercises.
• Perform routine clerical tasks and operate instructional media and office equipment.
