Job summary

Hill Creek Expanded Learning Program is looking for a Paraeducator – Behavior Intervention to support certificated teachers in delivering behavioral and academic interventions for students in Santee, CA. The role includes supervising students, assisting with daily living activities, and maintaining records of progress.

You will work 12:00 pm–5:00 pm, 12 months, and earn $19.94 per hour. Requirements include a high school diploma and First Aid/CPR certification, with district proficiency testing

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent and two years’ experience or transferable skills.
• First Aid/CPR certification required.
• District Proficiency Exam or equivalents as specified by the district.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers by reinforcing instruction to whole class, small groups and/or individual students.
• Verbally and physically assist students with adaptive equipment and activities of daily living.
• Administer first aid and stay informed about medical needs.
• Maintain records and collect data related to student performance and behavior.
• Use appropriate strategies with students in crisis and participate in training for crisis intervention.
• Keep learning spaces neat, safe and organized.
• Supervise students during structured and unstructured times.
• Communicate progress with teachers and staff, maintaining confidentiality.
