Job summary

Carlton Hills School in Santee, CA is seeking a Paraeducator – Behavior Intervention for the Expanded Learning Program. Under supervision, you will support a certificated teacher with behavioral and academic interventions and assist with clerical tasks.

You will reinforce instruction, aid students with daily living activities, monitor behavior, and maintain records. Requires First Aid/CPR and district crisis intervention certification; 12-month schedule 12:00 pm-5:00 pm.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers by reinforcing instruction to classes or groups.
• Assist students with daily living activities as needed.
• Administer first aid and monitor medical needs.
• Maintain records and collect data on student performance and behavior.
• Use behavior strategies for students in crisis and participate in physical interventions when trained.
• Keep learning spaces clean, safe and organized.
• Supervise students during meals and breaks.
• Communicate progress and needs to teachers and staff while maintaining confidentiality.
• Assist with bus boarding and departure.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
