Tucson Unified School District is hiring for a Teacher Aide to support the Behavior Intervention Program under the Principal's direction. Responsibilities include monitoring dialogues with students, serving as a liaison between students and administration, maintaining documentation, and supervising after-school detention.

Position is part-time with 0.475 to 3.8 hours per day; location Erickson Elementary School—Stella & Mann Area. Requires a diploma or GED, and relevant experience.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or higher or two years of college or AZ Academic Assessment Test.
• Two years of experience working with students.
• Proficiency in word processing, databases and spreadsheets.
• Must have good verbal and written English communication.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.


• Associate's (or higher) degree OR Two-years (60 Semester-Hour credits) of study at an institute of higher learning OR Completion of an AZ Department of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test


• Two years of experience working with students


• Knowledge and ability to use word processing, database and spreadsheet programs


• Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions

Copy of diploma, transcripts or test results must be submitted at time of application.

REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO START DATE

• FBI fingerprint background check


• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience as a Teachers Aide.
