Job summary

CWC West Valley is seeking a Behavioral Intervention Implementation Associate to support students with disabilities in an inclusive classroom. You will deliver ABA-based interventions, assist teachers, and monitor behavior to promote independence and academic growth.

The role emphasizes collaboration with families and staff, maintaining confidentiality and providing adaptive support, including feeding and toileting assistance as needed. A strong attitude and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or two years of college coursework (min 48 semester units).
  • One year experience or volunteer experience with students with disabilities, including autism.
  • ABA and other behavior intervention techniques training.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Maturity and can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Support instruction for individual students or small groups with special needs as assigned.
  • Monitor student behavior and apply approved behavior management techniques to redirect and modify challenging behaviors.
  • Deliver one-on-one ABA-based interventions as outlined in student plans.
  • Observe, record, and report behavioral data in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality and positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Assist teachers during the school day with instruction, supervision of students, and adaptive support.
  • Provide support with eating and toileting as needed.

Job description

The Behavioral Intervention Implementation Associate (BII) plays a significant role in supporting students with disabilities by providing individualized behavioral and instructional support within an inclusive classroom environment. This team member supports in fostering students’ independence, social-emotional growth, and academic success through positive behavior intervention techniques and a collaborative approach with teachers, specialists, and families.Key ResponsibilitiesSupporting instruction for individual students or small groups with special needs as assignedAssist students in prescribed learning activitiesMonitor student behavior and apply approved behavior management techniques to redirect and modify challenging behaviorsDeliver one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)-based interventions as outlined in student plansImplement therapy plans developed by Behavior Intervention and Education SpecialistsObserve, record, and report behavioral data in accordance with established proceduresMaintain confidentiality and positive, professional relationships with students, staff, and familiesPerform related duties as assigned to support the success of all studentsMonitoring student behavior and utilizing approved behavior management techniques to redirect and modify inappropriate behaviorsAdministering one-on-one ABA-based Intensive Behavior Intervention methods to designated students in a school setting (as necessary)Implementing documented therapy plans for Behavior Intervention treatment.Assist teachers during the school day with instruction, oversight, and supervision of studentsProvide adaptive support with eating and toiletingPerforming additional related tasks as needed.RequiredAssociate’s degree or completion of two years of college coursework (minimum of 48 semester units)One year experience or volunteer experience working students with disabilities, including students with autismTraining and experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and other behavior intervention techniquesPreferredExperience in school-based settings supporting diverse learnersBII or RBT certification (Registered Behavior Technician)Strong interpersonal and communication skillsMaturity, humility, strong work ethic, sense of humor, and can-do attitude.
