Job summary

Center for Family Services in Absecon, NJ is hiring a full-time Behavioral Health Assistant to support prescribers and patients in the outpatient department. Responsibilities

• Provide direct care support and case management to prescriber staff and patients.
• Manage client medication inquiries and coordinate with PCPs and labs.
• Maintain and document client electronic records for licensing and compliance.
• Assist with prior authorizations and documentation in the EMR system.
• Close cases under supervision of program leadership; assist with BMI and vitals.
• Coordinate with medical staff and community physicians as directed.

Position Summary

Center for Family Services is seeking a full time Behavioral Health Assistant to act as a support to ourPrescribers and Patients in our Outpatient Department in Absecon.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide direct care support and case management to CFS Prescriber staff.


• Manage client medication inquires and medical labs by researching client records and


• coordinating with CFS prescriber staff and primary care physicians in the community.


• Provide updated documentation and maintenance of client electronic record to ensure compliance with licensing, accreditation, and contractual requirements; pharmacy contact, medications, PCP, allergies, negative side effects, current medical condition.


• Assist with the completion of prior authorizations as needed for CFS Prescribers.


• Close cases as directed by Program Director and Prescribers.


• Assist prescribers with the administering and documentation of client BMI's,


• vitals, and other requirements per NJ regulations.


• Refer, link, collaborate and coordinate with clients, CFS Prescribers, PCPs, and other medical specialists as directed by CFS Prescribers.


• Adhere to assigned work schedule to meet the needs of the Prescribers; Monday thru Friday. The schedule is subject to change as determined by the needs of the program and the Prescriber's schedules.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.


• Experience working within a support capacity in a medical and/or behavioral health


• setting.


• Experience managing schedules and complex client cases.


• Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills.


• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills, ability to complete work within


• mandated timeframes.


• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and works well within a fast paced


• Advanced computer skills in addition to electronic health system knowledge and


• Ability to collaborate with the team and be an active participant in the program.


• A valid NJ driver's license.
