Job summary

New Story Schools is seeking a Behavior Consultant to develop individualized behavior plans and support students with autism and related challenges in a school setting.

You will conduct functional assessments, monitor progress, and coach teachers and staff on data collection and behavior strategies to improve academic and social outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required in ABA, psychology, special education or related field.
  • Minimum of two years of ABA service delivery including FBAs and PBSPs and staff training.
  • Experience with individuals with ASD or behavioral/emotional disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional behavioral assessments and develop individualized positive behavior support plans.
  • Provide behavioral consultation and progress monitoring for assigned students.
  • Train and support teachers and staff on implementing behavior strategies and data collection systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align behavioral goals with IEP objectives.
  • Analyze behavioral data and adjust interventions to promote student success.

Job description

At New Story Schools, we serve students ages 5–21 with autism and emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. Guided by individualized learning, therapeutic integration, and collaboration, we empower students to grow and prepare for meaningful adult lives. As a Behavior Consultant at New Story Schools, you will support students by developing individualized behavior plans that help them build positive skills and succeed both academically and socially. You will collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and families to design and oversee effective behavioral strategies that make a real difference in each student’s growth and confidence.

What You’ll Need
  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related human services field.

  • Minimum of two years of ABA service delivery, including experience conducting FBAs and developing PBSPs and conducting staff training.

  • Minimum of two years working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or emotional or behavioral disorders.

  • Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis and positive behavior supports

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
