Position: Full-time or Part-Time In-Person Behavior Analyst (Clinical Supervisor for the Behavior Respite Program)

ABA SHINE is looking for a passionate and experienced BCBA to join our team! This role offers a unique opportunity to train, coach, and supervise an ABA team in implementing effective interventions while leading our growing Behavior Respite Program designed specifically for RCEB clients in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.

Why the Behavior Respite Program Stands Out:

Step into a leadership role where you oversee a structured, three-tiered ABA model designed to focus on proactive strategies, client engagement, and meaningful support—without the intensive demands of skill acquisition programs. Our antecedent-based intervention approach prioritizes stability, comfort, and positive experiences for clients while providing much-needed relief for families. Unlike traditional ABA models, this program offers a low-data collection requirement, with progress reports completed just once a year, allowing you to focus on direct impact rather than paperwork.

As a BCBA leading this program, you will make an immediate difference by supervising a dedicated team, creating personalized strategies, and ensuring that families receive high-quality, compassionate care. Parents can take a much-needed break with confidence, knowing their loved ones are safe and in capable and caring hands. This is an opportunity to expand your leadership, work in a collaborative environment, and shape a program that truly prioritizes family well-being.

Why Join ABA SHINE?

  1. Flexible Career Path: Choose to focus on Behavior Respite or ABA intervention, parent-led, based on your expertise and interests.
  2. Strong Support System: Work alongside a team of behavior technicians and mid-level staff who will support service implementation. Ongoing training, peer review, and consultation with experienced BCBAs in the field of ABA working with all ages.
  3. Evidence-Based Approach: Oversee a structured, research-backed model that prioritizes client success and family well-being.
  4. Professional Growth: We offer fieldwork experience and sign fieldwork hours for those working toward their BCBA certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) to develop a tailored proactive support plan.
  2. Design Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) that emphasize antecedent-based interventions rather than reactive approaches.
  3. Supervise and guide a team providing structured behavioral respite care that ensures families receive meaningful relief.
  4. Prioritize engagement and proactive strategies over intensive skill acquisition.
  5. Conduct bi-weekly supervision of mid-level supervisors and behavior technicians.
  6. Analyze data and refine interventions to ensure the team delivers the most evidence-based support.
  7. Enjoy a lighter documentation workload—progress reports are only required annually.

Compensation:

$70 - $75 per hour, 102K-108K depending on experience with only 30 hours billables.

Requirements:

  1. Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification (Required)
  2. Master’s degree in ABA, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field
  3. Minimum 2 years of experience in direct ABA services and parent coaching
  4. Strong knowledge of ABA principles, functional assessments, and behavior support strategies
  5. Excellent communication, data analysis, and organizational skills
  6. Ability to commute to Lafayette, CA 94549 or relocate before starting work
  7. Willingness to travel up to 25%
