Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is a division of FullBloom that provides in-district classrooms and standalone schools for K-12 students with intensive behavioral needs.

As a paraprofessional/behavior aide, you will support students under IEPs, apply PBIS strategies, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic guidance. You will work with diverse students, participate in de-escalation and crisis management, and help implement behavior plans while documenting

Qualifications

• Experience implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive behavioral needs.
• Ability to stay emotionally balanced in stressful situations.
• Flexibility and willingness to jump in and support where needed.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Provide consistent monitoring and support throughout the school site.
• Support the creation and implementation of behavior support plans.
• Record, track, and document behavioral incidents and progress toward goals.
• Utilize positive behavioral intervention and support strategies and school site incentive programs.
• Implement de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and physical intervention if necessary to maintain safety.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages the development of social and behavioral skills.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop differentiated support for students with intensive needs.
• Participate in the debriefing process with staff after challenging behavior/crisis situations.
• Facilitate communication with parents
