Job summary

Volusia County Schools' Pine Trail Elementary School seeks an EDEP Facilitator to enrich the after-school program for K-5 students in Ormond Beach. You will manage daily operations, supervise staff and volunteers, and ensure adherence to district procedures and safety standards.

The role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication with parents and staff, and the ability to plan engaging, age-appropriate activities while maintaining program records and reporting.

Qualifications

• Hold a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Experience in working effectively with and managing organized activities for children (volunteer or paid)
• Basic computer knowledge
• Holds current certification or will successfully complete the following course during the first year of employment: First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Completion of the EDEP Group Leader Guided Study Module within one (1) year of date of hire
• Successful completion of the Volusia County Schools substitute teacher training course (STAR) within one (1) year of date of hire is preferred
• Possess a valid Florida or state-issued Driver’s License, if not, agree to acquire a Florida Driver’s License within thirty (30) days of employment, except in a case where accommodation is required

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the assigned EDEP/BTB program site.
• Supervise designated personnel, including recruitment, selection, and training.
• Establish and maintain positive relations with parents, school personnel, and district staff.
• Plan, prepare, and implement a flexible daily program of activities suitable for K-5.
• Ensure records and reports are maintained and submitted as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and facilities.
