Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford is seeking a Part-time Before Care Program Supervisor to lead a safe, welcoming morning program for school-age youth. You will oversee daily operations, supervise staff, ensure breakfast service, coordinate light activities, and manage transitions to buses or authorized transportation.

Expected hours are 7 am to 9 am, Monday through Friday during the school calendar, with regular attendance as essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; related field preferred.
At least two years of experience with school-age youth.
Experience supervising staff, leading a youth program, or coordinating daily operations preferred.

Responsibilities

Open and prepare the program space each morning.
Ensure the program is properly staffed and ready for youth.
Maintain an organized daily routine: arrival, breakfast, activities, cleanup, bus departure.
Assign staff responsibilities and provide direction.
Adjust staffing and activities based on attendance and transportation schedules.
Supervise youth at all times and manage safety and emergencies.
Oversee breakfast distribution and food handling procedures.
Coordinate communications with families, schools, and transportation partners.
