Job summary

ECE Subhub is seeking a Before and After School Program Director in Macomb Township, MI to run the latchkey program at an elementary site for K–6 students. You will supervise aides and oversee morning and afternoon sessions.

Schedule follows the school day with two sessions: morning roughly 6:00 AM–9:00 AM and afternoon roughly 2:00 PM–6:30 PM. Requires 18+ years old, HS diploma or GED, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• An associate’s degree or a CDA.
• Prior experience with school age children in a classroom, camp, latchkey, or comparable setting.
• Ability to manage a group of up to 18 students independently.
• Availability for both the morning and afternoon session.
• Reliable transportation to a Macomb Township area site.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a group of up to 18 school age students, with ratios up to 1:18.
• Complete daily sign in and sign out with families.
• Lead homework time, games, crafts, and free play.
• Manage behavior using positive guidance.
• Maintain compliance with all licensing, health, and safety requirements.
• Communicate with parents and school staff professionally.

Before and After School Program Director

Macomb Township, MI | Part Time | Split Shift

ECE Subhub is hiring Before and After School Program Directors for elementary sites within Chippewa Valley Schools. The director runs the latchkey program at their assigned building, morning and afternoon, for a group of K through 6 students, and supervises the aides assigned to that site.

Schedule

Monday through Friday during the school year. The program runs in two sessions with the school day in between, and directors are scheduled for both.

Morning session: approximately 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM

Afternoon session: approximately 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM

All ECE Subhub staff complete a background check, MiRegistry enrollment, and CPR and First Aid certification. We will guide you through these requirements if you have not completed them.

Compensation

$17 to $19 per hour, based on experience.
