Job summary

ECE Subhub in Waterford School District seeks a School Age Before/After Care Substitute to support a caring, safe, and engaging program. This split-shift role runs Monday through Friday, with a 6:30 am–9:00 am morning shift and a 3:30 pm–6:00 pm afternoon shift at one location.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 18 college credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Human Services, Youth or Family Studies, or Elementary Education.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Family or Youth Studies, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education with ZA or ZS endorsement, Human Services, or Child Development.
• Current CDA credential.
• Experience working with school age children is preferred.
• Preferred: CPR Adult and Pediatric Certification; certification can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Supervising children to keep them safe during before and after school hours.
• Planning and leading age appropriate activities, games, and homework time.
• Managing daily routines, including arrival, snack, and dismissal.
• Building positive relationships with children, families, and school staff.
• Maintaining a warm and professional presence in the program.

School Age Before/After Care Substitute

ECE Subhub is hiring a School Age Before/After Care Substitute to support a before and after school care program in the Waterford School District. This is a split shift role, Monday through Friday, with a morning shift before school and an afternoon shift after school.

Support you can expect

• A Regional Manager who is reachable during your shift
• Consistent weekday hours at one location

What you will do

You will lead the daily before and after school care program and help create a safe, positive, and engaging environment for school age children. Responsibilities may include:

• Supervising children to keep them safe during before and after school hours

We are looking for candidates who meet one or more of the following:

• Associate degree or 18 college credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Human Services, Youth or Family Studies, or Elementary Education
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Family or Youth Studies, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education with ZA or ZS endorsement, Human Services, or Child Development
• Current CDA credential

• Job Type: Part‑time
• Pay: $15 to $22 per hour
• Schedule: Split shift, Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 9:00 am and 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm

• Availability: Both shifts, Monday through Friday
