Job summary

AlphaBEST Education, Inc. is seeking a Group Leader Assistant for the Heather Hills Elementary School after-school program in the Bowie area. You will support daily curriculum activities across World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts, while modeling safety and positive interactions for children.

This role runs 1:30pm–6:00pm, with a $15/hour pay. The position emphasizes teamwork with staff and school partners, maintaining a clean, organized space, and helping kids feel included and

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• 3–6 months childcare experience in a licensed setting.
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with bending and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts) while encouraging positive peer interactions.
• Make child safety the top priority at all times.
• Keep the space clean and organized.
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included.
