Job summary

AlphaBEST Education, Inc. is seeking a Group Leader to manage after-school programming at Kingsford Elementary School and Perry Wood Elementary School in the Upper Marlboro/Largo area. You will lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities, prioritize child safety, and keep the space organized.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, CPR and First Aid, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Certification training is provided for advancement into site leadership.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds).
• ADD ANY ADDITIONAL DISTRICT/STATE REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts).
• Make child safety the top priority at all times.
• Keep the space clean and organized.
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included.
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff.

and Perry wood Elementary School Largo MD AM SHIFT 7AM-8AM PM SHIFT 1:30PM-6PM

Pay: 17.50

Hours: AM 7AM-8AM PM 1:00pm-6pm

• 90 Hour Certification school age or early childhood- You can also have at least one of the certificates either 45 hours growth development or the 45 hours school age curriculum and we can enroll you in the necessary classes to complete the other training
• AlphaBEST provides Certification Training for Group Leader and Site Director Positions
