Job summary

AlphaBEST Education is hiring for the 2026/2027 school year at Berlin Community School to staff the Before & After School Programs. The role offers $17.00 per hour with sessions from 7:00-8:30am and 3:00-6:00pm, providing leadership experience while you are in school.

As a Group Leader, you will guide students through daily activities spanning World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts, while prioritizing safety and teamwork with staff and families.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with bending and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts).
• Make child safety the top priority at all times.
• Keep the space clean and organized.
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included.
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff.

As an AlphaBEST Group Leader, you'll help shape meaningful before and after school moments that help kids learn, grow, and thrive. You'll gain valuable experience working with children and collaborating with a team.

We're looking for an early learning professional who:

• Enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment
• Takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely
• Is flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever needed

In this role, you will:
