ABC Care Inc. is one of the largest before and after school childcare programs in Maryland, offering flexible hours in the morning or late afternoon throughout the school year. Positions can accommodate both full-time and part-time schedules to fit student or college class timetables.

The program supports those entering education or currently working in the school-age environment, with opportunities to assist teachers and directors in implementing lesson plans.

Qualifications

• Age 16 years or older.
• Willing to take continuing education classes.
• Willing to take CPR & First Aid class.
• To work directly under supervision of a School Age Childcare Teacher, Assistant Site Director or Site Director.

Job description

ABC Care Inc. is one of the largest before and after school childcare programs in Maryland with 13 centers located in Carroll County and one in Baltimore County. Because of our split schedule, we are able to offer flexible hours in the morning or the late afternoon throughout the school year. Our positions can accommodate individuals looking for full time employment and those needing part time due to college or high school class schedules.

ABC Care offers great positions for those individuals entering the field of education or who are currently working in the school ageenvironment.

Job Description:

To assist teachers and directors in the implementation of lesson plans and carry out the goals and philosophies of ABC Care's school age program, which is diverse and enriching.

Job Requirements

• Age 16 years or older
• Willing to take continuing education classes
• Willing to take CPR & First Aid class
• Towork directly under the supervision of either a School Age Childcare Teacher, Assistant Site Director or a Site Director
• Assist in setting up the center’s daily activities.
• Must be able to bend at a 45-degree angle, must be able to lift 30 lbs, must be able to twist body both left and right, must be able to sit on the ground and get up successfully without assistance from another person, must be able to squat, must be able to stand a minimum of 4 hours, must be able to walk up and down stairs.
• Having a driver’s license to be able to get from one center to another in a timely manner is preferred.
• To attend center staff meetings, all staff meetings and training programs.
