Job summary

Celebree in Towson, MD, is seeking a dedicated before-and-after care assistant to support the Program Director and School Age Teacher. You will help run activities, uphold Caliday's mission and create a safe, engaging learning environment for elementary-aged children.

Responsibilities include keeping the space compliant with MSDE-OCC regulations, welcoming families, updating the Parent Table, supervising children with Conscious Discipline, communicating with parents, and maintaining cleanliness

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have energy and passion for working with elementary-aged children.
• CPR and First Aid training certificate and Basic Health and Safety training certificate requested.
• Strong communication, flexibility and ability to work in a team environment required.

Responsibilities

• Manages the program space, ensuring compliance with MSDE-OCC regulations and company standards.
• Provides a welcoming and friendly environment for children, parents and visitors.
• Assists in maintaining an informative Parent Table updated regularly.
• Implements age-appropriate activities and manages classroom behavior.
• Supervises children during activities and counsels using Conscious Discipline techniques.
• Communicates effectively with parents and provides regular program updates.
• Maintains open communication with the team, parents and school community.
• Ensures cleanliness and safety of the classroom environment.
• Identifies opportunities or problems and collaborates to resolve them.
• Maintains yearly certification requirements including Continuing Education Credits.
