Before and After School Enrichment Group Aide - Carroll County

Job Description

This role is a Youth Specialist for the Before & After School Enrichment program. You will facilitate activities for school-aged children that foster character building and ensure the health and welfare of all children.

You will assist in keeping children safe, support parents and guardians by ensuring they have peace of mind, and help create a positive environment for the youth.

All Y associates agree to abide by The Code of Conduct with Youth, setting clear expectations and prohibiting any form of abuse, bullying or harassment. Associates and volunteers must complete child abuse prevention training and comply with legal reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• An interest in the well-being of school-aged children, enthusiasm, patience, good humor, good judgment, and a good spirit
• Proficiency in communicating and listening to children, parents/guardians, members, school administration, and other Y associates
• Flexibility to work at multiple locations
• Ability to work between the hours of 7am – 6pm
• Availability for morning or afternoon shifts
