Job summary

Landon School in Bethesda, MD, invites applications for part-time Before Care on Wednesday mornings and After School/Extended Day Coordinator duties from 3:15–6:15, Monday to Friday. This 9-month, nonexempt role reports to the Director of Auxiliary Programs.

The position supports boys in grades 3–8 with homework, reading, or quiet activities after school. Responsibilities include supervising students, maintaining attendance records, and coordinating snacks and materials.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in an academic/educational environment preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer services skills.
• Ability to work as a member of a team as well as independently.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in a classroom, on an athletic field, or playground.
• Create a positive study hall environment conducive to academic and social success.
• Provide homework help as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance.
• Distribute snacks, sports equipment, and games.
• Organize, and be familiar with, student emergency contact and allergy information.
• Communicate with parents and ensure students are dismissed to the appropriate adult.
• Other duties as assigned.

Landon School is a boys school for grades 3-12 located in Bethesda, MD. The Auxiliary Programs department seeks several people to work the Before Care program on Wednesday mornings and After School/Extended Day Coordinator Monday-Friday from 3:15-6:15 M-F. This program is designed for boys in grades 3-8 and the purpose is to provide a safe, supervised space in which students may work on their homework, read silently, or relax after school. The position is a part-time, 9-month, nonexempt position that reports to the Director of Auxiliary Programs.

Pay
