Job summary

Landon School in Bethesda, MD is seeking part-time Before and Aftercare Coordinators to support students in grades 3–8. Roles are 3:15–6:15 PM, Monday–Friday, with a focus on homework help, safe study spaces, and supervised activities. Reports to the Director of Auxiliary Programs for a 9-month nonexempt position.

Compensation ranges from $22 to $25 per hour, with overall pay listed as $18–$31 per hour. Prior experience with children and strong communication are preferred for success in this

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in an academic/educational environment preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer services skills.
• Ability to work as a member of a team as well as independently.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in a classroom, on an athletic field, or playground.
• Create a positive study hall environment conducive to academic and social success.
• Provide homework help as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance.
• Distribute snacks, sports equipment, and games.
• Organize, and be familiar with, student emergency contact and allergy information.
• Communicate with parents and ensure students are dismissed to the appropriate adult.
• Other duties as assigned.
