Job summary

AlphaBEST Education, Inc. in Malden, MA, is seeking a part-time Site Director to lead a before/after school program that keeps kids safe, engaged, and learning.

You will manage day-to-day operations, supervise staff, coordinate curriculum, and build strong relationships with families and school partners while upholding licensing standards.

The role offers a $25.00 hourly rate, a team-focused environment, and opportunities to grow leadership within AlphaBEST’s extended-day programs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; CPR/First Aid certification preferred or can be obtained.
• 3+ years in a school-age program or teaching environment preferred.
• Experience leading staff and managing program operations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations: schedules, ratios, staffing, documentation.
• Oversee curriculum implementation and ensure activities meet program expectations.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive environment compliant with licensing and AlphaBEST standards.
• Prioritize child safety and manage licensing documentation and inspections readiness.
• Track resources, attendance, and food program requirements; supervise and mentor staff.
• Represent AlphaBEST professionally at school and community events.
• Foster strong relationships with families, school staff, and AlphaBEST leadership.

In This Role, You Will

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the site: schedules, ratios, staffing, and documentation
• Oversee/facilitate curriculum implementation and ensure activities meet program expectations
• Build a safe and inclusive environment aligned with licensing requirements and AlphaBEST standards
• Make child safety the top priority at all times
• Maintain licensing compliance, documentation, and readiness for inspections
• Track and manage site resources, attendance, and food program requirements
• Supervise and mentor your site team, providing coaching and feedback and ensuring training requirements are met
• Represent AlphaBEST with professionalism at school and community events
• Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and AlphaBEST leadership to support student success

This Role Is Ideal For Educators With Experience In

• Teaching or classroom leadership
• Youth programs
• Staff supervision or team leadership

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain)
• At least 3 years of experience in a school-age program or teaching setting preferred
• Demonstrated experience in team leadership and supervision preferred
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
