Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Associates degree in childcare, education, or related field or equivalent experience (2 years with children age 5-12).
• Ability to learn quickly and resolve child-to-child situations.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementation of activities for children including enrichment, physical activities, free play, and snack time.
• Supervise all children on the site and maintain a safe, organized environment.
• Build relationships with children and families; greet and respond to questions or concerns.
• Maintain safety procedures and follow the YMCA Child Abuse Prevention Policy and Code of Conduct.
