Job summary

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties in Gig Harbor, WA is seeking a part-time Before and After School Teacher to support our school-age childcare program. You will lead activities, supervise children, and promote safety and YMCA core values in school settings.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of childcare experience; STARS training and CPR/First Aid certification must be obtained within stated timelines. Flexible scheduling available.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of childcare experience in a program setting.
• Commitment to safety, health, and youth development.
• Willing to enroll in STARS training within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive relations with members, parents, and peers.
• Lead curriculum and physical activities for school-age children.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness; supervise children at all times.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in program activities.
• Support outreach and family involvement initiatives.
