Job summary

YMCA of the Suncoast is seeking a Before and/or After School Staff for Citrus School Age Programs in Lecanto, FL. You will supervise groups of children, implement purposeful activities, and help create a safe, welcoming environment that supports youth development and community connection.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, willingness to complete required trainings within 12 months, and the ability to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED or be enrolled in GED classes.
• CPR/First Aid, Listen First, and other required trainings within 12 months.
• Experience with children preferred.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a designated group of children to ensure safety.
• Maintain attendance and document absences and injuries.
• Communicate incidents and attendance with staff and families.
• Use positive reinforcement and handle misbehavior per policy.
• Facilitate purposeful activities to support academic growth.
• Foster belonging and positive relationships with children and families.
• Keep the site safe and clean, manage supplies.
• Model SMART behavior to welcome all members.
• Educate members about YMCA services and programs.
• Support YMCA goals with volunteerism and fundraising.
