Mooresville Graded School District BASP is seeking a Substitute Group Leader/Lead Teacher for the Before & After School Program in Mooresville, NC. Immediate start with responsibilities including student registration, health and safety, and parent communication.

Applicants must have a high school diploma, be at least 18, and obtain Child Care Credentials (EDU 119) within 6 months; BSAC is noted as part of qualifications. Position reports to BASP Site Director at South Elementary School.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Child Care Credentials (EDU 119) within 6 months after employment; coursework within 18 months of enrollment.
• BSAC.

Responsibilities

• Assist with program performance and daily implementation including student registration, record keeping, funds collection, parent contact, health and safety guidelines, fieldtrip suggestions and supervision, and supervision of staff and students.
• Assist Program Director and Site Directors with planning the program per Board and State policies.
• Maintain daily communications with parents regarding injuries, behavior, and concerns.
• Arrange for substitutes as necessary in accordance with board procedures.
• Maintain written plans and schedules for the program per local and state guidelines.
• Provide recommendations for program improvement.
• Maintain confidentiality of records.
