Job summary

YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids is seeking Before and After School Program Teachers for the 2026/2027 school year. Candidates will provide a safe and nurturing environment for children, assist in lesson planning, and maintain attendance records.

This part-time position offers a shift premium and requires availability Monday to Friday. Ideal applicants will have relevant experience and must obtain CPR and First Aid certifications within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year of relevant experience is preferred.
• Experience interacting with school-age children and diverse backgrounds.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and leading daily lesson plans.
• Prepare materials for activities and maintain attendance records.
• Supervise children and assist with parent-teacher conferences.
