Job summary

Cherry Creek School District in Englewood, CO is seeking staff to provide active supervision of students in the school-based child care program under guidance of a qualified leader. The role focuses on safety, engagement, and building positive relations with students, parents, and school staff.

Responsibilities include following procedures, supporting enrichment activities, maintaining safe conditions, and communicating effectively with families and colleagues while upholding district policies

Qualifications

• 16+ years of age
• Under supervision of director/leader
• 15 clock hours of training per year
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Current First Aid and CPR or ability to obtain within 30 days
• Ability to work with school-age children
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required

Responsibilities

• Completes tasks assigned by director, assistant director, or leader
• Follows ECS Procedures Manual
• Participates and plays with students in structured and unstructured activities
• Maintains safe conditions for students and staff
• Follows and enforces program discipline policies and procedures
• Assists with maintenance, storage, and repair of equipment, materials and supplies
• Contributes ideas for enrichment activities, curriculum, and program quality
• Demonstrates excellent communication with parents, students, school staff and coworkers
• Follows district policies and uses district facilities with care
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
