Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools in Colorado is seeking an assistant to provide active supervision of students in the school-based child care program under the guidance of a qualified leader. You will help create a safe, engaging environment that supports learning and well-being.

In this non-exempt role, you will interact with parents, students and staff, follow district policies, contribute ideas for enrichment activities, and help maintain program quality and community relations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Work directly under the supervision of the director, assistant director or leader.
• Each year of employment, the assistant must complete at least 15 clock hours of training.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or the ability to obtain within thirty (30) days.
• The assistant must demonstrate an ability to work with school age children.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.

Responsibilities

• Completes all tasks assigned by director, assistant director, or leader.
• Follow procedures as stated in the ECS Procedures Manual.
• Participates and plays with students in structured and unstructured activities.
• Maintains safe conditions for students and staff.
• Follows and enforces program discipline policies and procedures.
• Assists with maintenance, proper storage, and repair of equipment, materials and supplies.
• Contributes ideas for enrichment activities, curriculum, and program quality.
• Demonstrates excellent communication with parents, students, school staff and co workers.
• Follows district policies and goals and uses district facilities with care.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
