Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Lead for our Before and After School Program at Bethel Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. The role follows the school calendar with a part-time schedule (morning and/or afternoon) and a wage of $16.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include leading activities, ensuring safety, and supporting student growth in a structured setting. Educational background in child-related fields is required, with various degree options accepted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field.
• Bachelor’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 1 year of relevant experience.
• Associate’s degree in the above fields plus 2 years of relevant experience.
• Associate’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 3 years of relevant experience.
• Child Development Associate credentials plus 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework completion.
• Providing a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observing state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Certain positions may also perform management functions such as attendance records, registration, and staffing.
