Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Bethel Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year.

The role is part-time, non-exempt, with hours following the school calendar. Morning and/or afternoon shifts are available, with a pay range of $13.50–$14.50 per hour. Employer-paid childcare support is provided, helping families balance work and caregiving.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience with children under 13.
• Medically cleared for communicable diseases including TB.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities) and homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment; be a positive role model.
• Observe state guidelines and program/host policies; participate in attendance, registration, and staffing as needed.
