Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Lead for our Before and After School Program at Bethel Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. The position is part-time, non-exempt, with compensation of $16.00 per hour and a schedule that follows the school calendar.

The role focuses on leading activities from our curriculum, creating a safe, engaging environment, and mentoring students while supporting their social-emotional and academic growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or human services.
• Bachelor’s degree with 30 credits in above fields plus 1 year of relevant experience.
• Associate’s degree in above fields plus 2 years of relevant experience.
• Associate’s degree including 30 credit hours in above fields plus 3 years of relevant experience.
• Child Development Associate credentials plus 2 years of relevant experience.
• Relevant experience includes working with school-age children in after-school programs, summer camps, classrooms, or similar settings, including planning activities, supervising groups, and supporting social-emotional and academic growth.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities) and homework completion.
• Providing a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children.
• Observing state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Certain positions may perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.
