Job summary

The YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South is seeking a part-time School Age Group Leader to implement activities and daily lesson plans for before/after school and summer programs. You will work with site staff to foster social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth among children.

Responsibilities include leading groups of 15–20 children, maintaining a safe program space, assisting with curriculum, attending staff meetings, and ensuring licensing and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Requires background checks, fingerprint clearances and the DHS processes.
• Must complete all required trainings prior to/within start of employment.
• Professional image and sound judgment required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of 15 to 20 children in planned activities inside or outside.
• Implement daily lesson plans and maintain a safe, orderly program space.
• Assist with curriculum planning and pre/after school programs.
• Attend staff meetings and coordinate with Site Director and other staff.
