Job summary

Right At School is seeking a Substitute Educator to support before- and after-school programs. You will help deliver our daily curriculum, organize materials, document attendance, and model positive guidance in a safe, engaging learning environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience with children, strong communication skills, and a passion for fostering a love of learning. This role requires availability for school-day shifts and possible lifting of materials.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Works well in a team environment.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Excellent communication with varied audiences including children, parents, staff and school personnel.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and healthy living.
• Respect for working with children with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, document attendance and incidents.
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academics and social character-building.
• Model positive guidance and classroom management to maintain safety and well-being of all children.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff and school personnel.
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding progress and accountability.
