Job summary

Perkins Family YMCA is seeking a part-time staff member to provide direction for the program and classroom while implementing the approved curriculum. The role focuses on delivering a quality experience to children and parents aligned with YMCA values such as honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.

The position requires planning and supervision of activities, strong communication with families, and reliability in maintaining records and equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 16 years of age.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date.
• Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred.
• Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities.
• Previous experience with diverse populations. Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds.
