Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Programs at Horace W. Porter School in Columbia, CT, for the 2026–2027 school year.

Join a mission-driven team that supports children through play, STEAM, and structured activities, with employer-paid childcare and a schedule aligned to the school calendar.

Part-time, non-exempt role offering morning and/or afternoon shifts with competitive hourly pay and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older with HS diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience with kids under 13 preferred.
• Health clearance including TB screening as required.
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, reliability.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and serve as a role model.
• Observe state guidelines and program policies.
• Support operations including attendance records and staffing.
