Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Penn-Bernville Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year.

This part-time role follows the school calendar and offers a schedule with morning and/or afternoon programs. We provide employer-paid childcare for staff and a range of benefits, with emphasis on caring for children aged 5–12 in a structured, engaging setting.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience working with children under 13.
• Must pass a full background check including fingerprinting and reference checks.
• Must be medically fit to perform job duties including a clear TB.
• Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands‑on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
