Healthy Kids Programs is hiring Childcare Assistants for the Before and After School Program at Penn-Bernville Elementary School in Bernville, PA for the 2026–2027 school year.

The role offers part-time, non-exempt employment with hours following the school calendar: morning and/or afternoon programs, with employer-paid childcare benefits and a range of part-time perks.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 or more years of experience working with children under 13
• Pass a full background check including fingerprinting and reference checks
• Medically fit to perform job duties including a clear TB test
• Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academic, art and other group activities as well as homework completion
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies and host school policies
• Support program operations which may include attendance records, registration and staffing requirements

$13.50 - $14.50 per hour

SCHEDULE

Follows the school calendar

Morning Program: 7:00 AM - 8:35 AM

Afternoon Program: 3:20 PM-6:30 PM

Opportunities may be available for morning, afternoon, or both programs.
