Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a School-Age Childcare Assistant to support before and after school activities at Mark Newbie Elementary School in Collingswood, NJ. This part-time role follows the school calendar and pays $16.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include running engaging activities, ensuring safety, and coordinating with staff. Candidates should pass state background checks and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or 1 year of childcare experience preferred but not required.
• Candidates must pass all required state background checks.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including bending, stretching, lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Positive, professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills with children, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands‑on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities) and homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and serve as a positive role model.
• Observe state guidelines, program policies, and school policies.
• Support program operations, including attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
