Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for the Before and After School Program at Mark Newbie Elementary School in Collingswood, NJ, for the 2026-2027 school year. The role is part-time, non-exempt, with shifts aligned to the school calendar and a pay rate of $16.00 per hour.

Morning and afternoon programs are available, with opportunities to work one or both. This position emphasizes engaging children through play, learning, and positive experiences.

Qualifications

• Background checks required.
• Ability to meet physical demands (bend, stretch, lift, and engage with energetic children).
• Positive, professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills with children, families, and colleagues.

Responsabilités

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academic, art, group activities, homework completion).
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, including attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma and/or 1 year of childcare experience preferred but not required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidates must successfully pass all required state background checks.
• Requires the ability to meet physical demands, including bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds, and actively engaging with energetic children.
• The ideal candidate demonstrates a positive, professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills when working with children, families, and colleagues, along with a consistent record of reliability and punctuality.
