Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Bethel Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. The role supports kids ages 5–12, with programs running 7:00 AM–8:35 AM and 3:20 PM–6:30 PM, following the school calendar.

Pay ranges $13.50–$14.50 per hour; position is part-time and non-exempt. Employer-paid childcare, health benefits, and growth opportunities are among the perks.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience working with children under 13.
• Medically cleared of communicable diseases, including TB.
• Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Providing a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observing state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Certain positions may also perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.
