Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for before and after school programs at Horace W. Porter School in Columbia, CT for the 2026-2027 school year. Part-time, non-exempt role with opportunities for morning, afternoon, or both programs.

Pay rate is $16.98 per hour, following the school calendar. Responsibilities include facilitating activities from our curriculum, ensuring a safe and engaging environment, and supporting attendance and registration.

Qualifikationen

• 18 years or older and must hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience working with kids preferred.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, per state regulations.
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.

Aufgaben

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities) including homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and serve as a positive role model.
• Observe state guidelines and program/host school policies.
• Support program operations, including attendance, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
