Job summary

Celebree School in Maryland is seeking a School Age Program Director to plan and direct operations of the assigned classroom ensuring a developmentally appropriate learning environment. You will support teachers and maintain compliant classroom practices.

You will communicate with parents, update the Parent Board, and uphold Celebree’s curriculum while applying Conscious Discipline for positive behavior management. This role offers growth opportunities within Celebree.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Complete 45 clock hours in Child Development and 45 clock hours in Curriculum for School Age Care.
• 9 clock hours training in communicating with staff, parents and the public.
• 400 hours of experience with school children or 1 year of college (30 semester hours).

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct operations of the assigned classroom for school age activities.
• Provide support and direction to the teacher assistant.
• Create and implement thorough, timely lesson plans aligned with weekly themes and Celebree’s curriculum.
• Assist and supervise children during all activities; use Conscious Discipline for behavior management.
• Communicate effectively with parents and maintain open team and parent communication.
• Ensure compliance with MSDE-OCC regulations and company standards.
